Navigate complex patient records with ease.

Medical Summary

Everything at a glance

No more navigating stacks of records or reviewing documents for hours. Medical Summary provides a structured, chronologically ordered overview of patient data — centralized in one place. The AI processes unstructured documents from various data sources, including universal archives, hospital information systems (HIS), documentation systems, ePA, ELGA, or EPD, and presents relevant medical information in a consolidated view. GenAI functions allow users to ask questions about the medical documentation or generate document summaries. This supports more efficient administrative workflows and helps reduce documentation effort.

Benefits for hospitals

With Medical Summary, medical professionals no longer need to navigate multiple systems or search through archive solutions. The product consolidates unstructured data sources and simplifies information retrieval. By streamlining workflows, time is freed up for core clinical activities.

Physicians often review information from different systems manually and on a per-patient basis. Medical Summary enables more efficient use of working time. Medical information extracted from unstructured documents is readily accessible, supporting reduced administrative workload.

Medical Summary provides a comprehensive overview of patient information. GenAI functions generate compact summaries across available documents. A question-and-answer system enables users to search patient records efficiently. Relevant passages from original documents are displayed transparently for traceability.

Our connector framework enables integration of Medical Summary with various source systems and existing applications via API. This supports interoperability across clinical systems. The solution is accessed through an intuitive web-based interface featuring a timeline and structured dashboards, allowing easy navigation through patient data.

Medical Summary can be extended with additional modules. The clinical report module supports physicians in creating structured medical reports based on available documentation. The Medical Dialog module converts physician–patient conversations into structured data and generates medical documentation in real time.

Automated medical report generation

Generate structured medical reports automatically. The medical report module analyzes and consolidates available documentation for a patient — including findings, surgical reports, diagnoses, nursing documentation, and therapy records. An AI-based evaluation model reviews the content for structural consistency and completeness. Ambiguous or uncertain information is clearly flagged.

Medical Dialog

Medical Dialog: structured data from conversations in real time

Less paperwork, more focus on patients. Medical Dialog converts physician–patient conversations into structured data and generates medical documentation in real time. Conversations can be recorded using a smartphone or dictation microphone. In addition to the transcript, users receive a structured overview of identified entities such as diagnoses, medications, and vital parameters.

Deployment options

Medical Summary is operated within your own IT infrastructure and can be flexibly integrated into existing systems. Sensitive health data remains entirely within the local network and is not stored in the cloud. You retain full data sovereignty and control over all locally processed information. Averbis also stands for maximum data security and compliance for operation in regulated environments.

Cloud-supported functions

  • Certain functions, such as the use of LLMs, are connected via GDPR-compliant cloud services.
  • Processing is performed only temporarily and for a defined purpose, without permanent storage of data in the cloud.
  • Cloud operation exclusively on servers located within the EU or in Germany.
  • The cloud provider is ISO 27001 certified and holds a C5 attestation.

Benefits of the hybrid setup

  • Combines maximum data sovereignty with modern cloud technologies.
  • High scalability and performance without additional on-site infrastructure.
  • Fast updates and access to the latest functions.
  • Secure, flexible, and future-ready – well suited for use in healthcare.
